About the HMS Gala:

Hongwanji Mission School (HMS) and our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) are excitedly preparing for our annual gala which will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025.  This event is being organized by the HMS 5th grade class and will provide a wonderful opportunity for our families and the community to come together.  All proceeds from this event will go directly towards helping our 5th grade students cover the costs of their trip to the East Coast in April of 2025. 

As part of the HMS Traditions Program, every 5th grader has the opportunity to participate in the 5th Grade Study Tour. This is an immersive educational journey where students, accompanied by a parent, will spend up to two weeks exploring the historic sites and cultural landmarks of the East Coast. This journey will take them from Jamestown, Virginia, through Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and New York City, culminating in Boston, Massachusetts, and offers unique opportunity for our students to expand their horizons and deepen their understanding of American history.
